Thursday, Nov. 6 - Real World Percents
You can use percents to find the percent of change and solve simple interest problems.
For Percent of Change:
1. Find the difference between the original number and the new number.
2 Divide the difference by the original number. (You will get a decimal)
3. Convert the decimal to a percent.
For Simple Interest:
Interest = Principal (amount borrowed) x Interest Rate (written as a decimal) x Time
