Journal Writing - Introduction

Imagine you want to send a letter to the address for a
place in Worcester you have visited or would like to visit.
1. Watch the video: How to Address an Envelope.
(YouTube)
2. Listen and read: How to Format and Envelope (ellii guidelines).
3. Write the sender’s address.
4. Write the address of the recipient.

hyphen = short
but the difference
is that a hyphen 
is used to connect
two words or numbers
that belong together. 

Hyphen - = sister-in-law

dash - a bullet point, to mean ecetera, - etc. 
- short dash = en dash
it is the width of the letter
'n'

_ longer dash = em dash
it is the width of the letter
'm'

# pound sign
# hash tag  (ex: group in Twitter, social media communications)

When we see the # sign
we say 'number'
