It is about servicing your country during war.
*The Oath of Allegiance is 'different' than 
the Pledge of Allegiance.  

It is part of the naturalization
process of a citizenship
candidate ususually they 
will bring arms on behalf of the 
United States and will perform
non combatent service of the 
United States army force
when required by law.
