Okay. Just like we can use different Wh questions words in Pattern 1 or Pattern 2.  - We can use different verbs in Pattern 1 and Pattern 2. 

Pattern 1

Which do    you     prefer  summer or winter?

*Whose questions are tricky. In English we try 
to get the thing being owned next to the question 
word 'Whose?'.
