There are numerous ways to approach the writing process. You have to determine what works best for you.

However, there are also a few common pieces to good argument writing.

1. You clearly state your position

2. You back it up with facts. Even better if you can cite an article

3. You address the other side's argument.

4. You wrap it up with a conclusion that sums up your argument.
