Polygons and Quadrilaterals SUMMER Unit
We will build on the previous lessons that focused on angles and triangles, but this time we will be looking at different types of polygons and quadrilaterals.
1. Watch each video in the column on the right -->, then click the link for the exercises and worksheets that go along with the video. After you have watched the video, click on the link. Notice it takes you to the Math Antics webpage for that lesson. There are options to open a PDF of exercises and/or worksheets. Click those buttons under the video to open these pages. There is also an additional video of solving the exercises if you need extra review before trying them yourself. Remember, under each exercise file and worksheet file there are answer keys, so be sure to check your work!
VOCABULARY:
Diagonal: a line segment that goes from one corner to another, but is not an edge. So when we directly join any two corners (called "vertices") which are not already joined by an edge, we get a diagonal.
Diagonal images:
Consecutive: angles in a polygon that share a segment as one of the sides that could be extended into a ray
Polygon: a plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles
Quadrilateral: a polygon with four edges (or sides) and four vertices or corners
Angle: in plane geometry, an angle is the figure formed by two rays, called the sides of the angle, sharing a common endpoint, called the vertex of the angle
Vertices: the common endpoint of two or more rays or line segments

4. Try the Quadrilateral Quizzes and Extra Practice exercises.
These can be found on the Math Antics Homepage: https://mathantics.com/auth/site-share/miOnLezCdZMIEKU
Please scroll down to the sections that say "Polygons" and "Quadrilaterals" for the exercises and worksheets.
